Alessandro Masetti is a Florence-based curator and researcher. His background in architecture has shaped his interest in museum exhibition spaces and how their design can influence the relationship between artworks and visitors.
From 2017 to 2022, he worked at the Fondazione Giovanni Michelucci in Fiesole, where he was involved with the art and design collection connected to the architect’s work and developed exhibitions and projects dedicated to his cultural legacy.
He is currently completing a PhD in Museum Studies at the IMT School for Advanced Studies in Lucca, supported by a scholarship from the Museo Egizio in Turin. As part of this research, he collaborated with the museum on the reinstallation of the permanent collection and on the development of contemporary art projects for its Bicentenary (1824–2024).
Alongside his curatorial practice, he writes about art, architecture and visual culture. His work has appeared in Italian and international publications.
